Aloha, Social! See you at Aurora in July...
We say goodbye to brunch in one spot and welcome it to another
Sunday marked the final service for Social Deck and Dining, but that doesn’t mean owners Jamie and Jordan Winteroth are done with brunch-centric menu or the space.
“We own the property,” Jamie Winteroth said Friday. “We’re losing zero employees – all of them will follow us under the rainbow to the new Aurora.”
The new Aurora will be just a few blocks west of the current location in The Plaza. The Winteroths said the new space gave them more capacity and more opportunity to make the new Socialized Aurora a success.
Where Social sat, and Chae Modern Korean before it, will be used for catering and special events.
“It’s going to be a more efficient use of our properties,” Winteroth said.

I dropped by Social on Friday for a final meal and left excited for the new place. Here’s hoping the Club Social makes it into the new bar program and the hot rolls with miso butter make it to The Plaza.
The Winteroths plan to continue operating Aurora from its current space as they get the new space ready, aiming for an early July opening.
