'Eat, Drink & be Local' goes to the Asian District
Get your watch-party essentials before the show airs on KSBI
Happy Saturday everyone, just a quick note to let you know a new episode of “Eat, Drink & be Local” airs this afternoon on KSBI, channel 52 – believe it’s channel 7 for Cox folks. Today’s episode takes you to Oklahoma City’s amazing Asian District to visit Super Cao Nguyen Market and Lee’s Sandwiches.
We do have a YouTube channel in the works. I will have another post Monday with a link to all the episodes and a look behind the scenes at a special dinner going on this weekend with some of the city’s best chefs.
I’ll also have more details on Rebecca Daley’s remarkable little wine shop and market, Vine & Board. But with the sun shining and its proximity to Lake Hefner, I thought some of you might want a sneak peek at her stunning picnic options.
Daley keeps an insane inventory of meats and cheeses plus boutique wines and all the nuts, fruits and crackers you need to compliment them for a leisurely afternoon in the sun (wearing a windbreaker).
If the idea of being away from your television at all for fear of missing the next episode of “Eat, Drink & be Local” stirs too much anxiety, I understand. Did I mention treasures from Vine & Board, Lee’s and Super Cao Nguyen make the ultimate grazing board for your afternoon watch party.
Cheers, and enjoy the show!
