'Eat, Drink & be Local' premiere postponed until April 8

Florence's Restaurant setting for episode one on KSBI

Remember when I announced “Eat, Drink & be Local” would premiere today?

Turns out it was an April Fool’s endeavor.

In order to maintain an efficient schedule going forward, my partners Rick Heath and Chase Spivey and I decided to hold off one more week.

The first complete episode of “Eat, Drink & be Local” will premiere April 8 at 4:30 p.m. on KSBI. The episode was shot at Florence’s Restaurant with special guests Loretta Oden Barrett, Kurt Fleischfresser, Andrew Black, Jovon Bunkley, and Nic Nicholas. Florence Jones Kemp and her daughter Victoria welcome us to Sunday supper Boley style. Rick and his daughter Shelby co-host the show and Chase shoots and edits the episodes.

We’re shooting the second episode on Monday at Cattlemen’s Steakhouse. Look for that episode to air on Tax Day. We have a 13-episode season in production thanks to sponsors like Hal Smith Restaurants, 1411 Luxury Homes, and Super Cao Nguyen Market.
