Fried Food Fight! OKC chefs set to appear on Food Network Tuesday
Jonathon Stranger, Kevin Lee star on "Superchef Grudge Match"
Surprise! It’s a Sunday Bulletin, and the subject is programming for the week ahead.
Chefs Kevin Lee and Jonathon Stranger return to Food Network on Tuesday, this time facing off against each other.
On Tuesday, Lee (Birdie’s Fried Chicken) and Stranger, (Osteria, El Coyote, Bar Cicchetti) will appear on Food Network’s “Superchef Grudge Match” at 8 p.m.
Each came back from trips to “Guy’s Grocery Games” with a bundle of cash in the past few years, but for chef Darnell "Superchef" Ferguson’s new show they will go toe-to-toe.
The show is a single round, one-dish, winner-take-all format. Whomever mans the stove more successfully will take home $10,000 and the knife of his choice from the losing chef's knife roll
For the Oklahoma City duel, Stranger and Lee will turn to the deep-fat fryer for a fried-food clash.
Both of these chefs have gotten so comfortable performing before national television audiences, don’t be surprised to see them on Food Network again this year.
To find out what Stranger and Lee pull from their fryers, tune in Tuesday at 8. Replays are scheduled for Wednesday at 11 p.m., Sunday at 10 p.m. and Monday, March 20, at 2 p.m.
